Abstract

Recent investigation has indicated effects of attention, working memory and
phonological neighborhood upon confrontation naming of nouns. This has broadened the
knowledge base upon which clinicians may make decisions regarding treatment of
aphasia. To date, it is unclear if or how these effects operate with respect to verbs. The
purpose of the proposed experiment is to extend work investigating cognitive and
phonological neighborhood effects to confrontation naming of verbs.
