A survey of SLPs was conducted to identify trends in the use of computers in the treatment of persons with aphasia. The survey was distributed to two groups of SLPs. The first group received the survey through e- mail or website download; the second group through traditional mailing to a randomized national sample. Responses were analyzed to determine the extent and purposes of computer use in treatment; differences in practice by geographic region; computer proficiency or length of experience; and beliefs about the importance of computer-based rehabilitation.
