Abstract
This is a case report of an individual who at 10 months post onset of a left CVA presented with a relatively mild aphasia and a primary complaint of difficulty reading. An intervention approach is described in which direct attention training (Attention Process Training-II) was implemented and reading comprehension was monitored as an outcome measure. Results indicated a treatment effect for reading comprehension. Pre- to post-treatment scores from reading and attention batteries showed gains.
